Barak Diskin is a Los Angeles based real estate developer and internet entrepreneur. Barak was raised in Los Angeles, California and graduated from the University of Miami, Florida with a bachelors of arts in Finance.
Barak began his real estate career after college at Decron Properties, a multi-billion dollar real estate investment, management and development company based in Los Angeles, where he became Director of Acquisitions before leaving to start doing his own deals in 2009.
Barak Diskin did some deal syndicating, but then pivoted into the internet world. In 2010, Barak partnered with his childhood friend, Jonathan Shokrian, to start a subscription e-commerce company called MeUndies. MeUndies surpassed the $100M annual revenue milestone and includes notable investors like Winklevoss Capital, Science Inc, Walden Venture Capital, Provenance and Simon Property Group.
In 2015, Barak Diskin partnered up with Diego Berdakin and Sky Dayton to start CloudKitchens. Barak and Diego bought and built the first CloudKitchen facility in the Koreatown submarket of Los Angeles. In 2018, Travis Kalanick, the founder and former CEO of Uber, bought a controlling interest in CloudKitchens and became its CEO. Barak changed his title from COO to Head of Real Estate and began overseeing the global expansion of CloudKitchens across acquisitions, design, development, construction, procurement and property management.
